A Big Thank You!
|
|
A big thank you to all the children, parents and staff for supporting this fundraising event. The school raised just under £300 for the BBC Child In Need Appeal. The children had a fun day dressed in pyjamas and dressing gowns and brought their fvourite teddy to school for the day. We also sold cakes throughout the week and individual children organised their own ideas such as sponsored silences and fundraising games. The envelopes came flooding in with pudsey designs. They are now on display in the main entrance.

Team Captains Announced
|
|
A big well done to all the pupils who took part in the Team Captain Presentations. We were looking for 16 pupils from Year 6 to be Captains and Vice Captains for their team this year. As our Year 6 is a small cohort, we didn't quite have enough pupils coming forward so some places have been taken by Year 5 pupils.
All the children met on Monday in team meetings to listen to the candidates and in a secret vote they decided who they wanted to be their Captain. The results were announced in Friday's celebration Assembly. Here are the successful captains:
Green Team Captains - Charlie & Tilly Vice Captains - Edward & Jack
Blue Team Captains - Jessica & Thomas Vice Captains - Bethany & Ashlee
Yellow Team Captains - Keeley & Janni Vice Captains - Holly & Georgia
Red Team Captains - Amber & James Vice Captain - Katie

ARE YOU A CURRENT PARENT HELPER OR INTERESTED IN BECOMING ONE AND NOT SURE WHAT IT ENTAILS?
Come along to our informal workshop on Thursday 20th September 2.15 – 3.00pm
Helping at school is an excellent way of supporting the children and getting to know people if you are a new parent. There are many different jobs you could become involved in, from working with children to administrative tasks. All help is really appreciated.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children so all helpers are required to have a C.R.B. check before starting.
