Home School Partnership

We believe it is important that the school has strong links with the community and that parents should be involved in the education of their children for the benefit of both parent and child. In the Autumn and Spring Term’s parents are invited to meet their child’s class teacher to discuss progress. In the Summer Term there is a more informal opportunity to visit the school with the child during an ‘Open Evening’. In addition, written progress reports will be sent to all parents in the Summer Term and follow up interviews will be available if requested.

The school has created a home/school agreement which sets out the mutual responsibilities of parents, teachers and children which should ensure the best environment for a child to develop and learn. We expect all parents and children to agree to the aspirations in the agreement and to confirm this by signing the document.

PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

Warboys Community Primary School has a very active Parent Teacher Association. All the parents and staff are automatically members of the PTA and all work is done a voluntary basis. Our main objective is to raise money for the school, which we do via various events. The mainstays are a May Ball and Summer Fete. There are lots of other events held throughout the year which you will hear about in the form of Newsletters, posters around the school and village and flyers in the childrens book bags. The funds raised go to pay for lots of different things all focused around increasing the schools resources. The AGM in September elects those who come forward and express an interest in joining the committee and helping to organize the events. For further information, click here

Volunteer Help

Volunteers are always welcome both for PTA events and to help in school and on school outings. If you are interested in assisting a teacher in some way, e.g. preparing booklets, cutting card, repairing books, supervising cooking, needlecraft etc. please contact the office. You will appreciate the high value we place on safe guarding our children, therefore all adults working with children, in whatever capacity, (including volunteers) will be asked to complete a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau), prior to working in the school. We appreciate parental help on school visits too but cannot guarantee that a parent will be able to accompany his or her child.
