School Facilities

The main part of the school was opened in 1972 with additions in 1976, 1989 and 1994. The school is divided up into a number of wings each containing toilet and cloakroom facilities, group activity rooms and areas.

The school also has

  • Large and small halls
  • 2 Libraries
  • ICT suite
  • Children's cooking area
  • Dedicated Reception area outside
  • Adventure Play area (Reception Key Stage 1)
  • Adventure Trim Trail (Key Stage 2 - see below)
  • Extensive grounds
  • Millenium Garden
  • School Fruit & Veg Garden

Linked to the main school hall is a Community Wing, which consists of a hall, coffee bar and adult toilets. This area is used by the school and community groups during the day; the Community Hall also serving as the dining area. The school kitchen has direct access into this hall.

The school and the PTA have also worked hard to make the external environment both attractive and stimulating for children. There is a willow room on the school field and also Millennium Garden where children can sit and have a quiet time. The latest improvement is the Key Stage 2 Adventure Trim Trail, which has been a great success. Many thanks to the parents who have supported the PTA.
